A recent Harris Poll shows that the Dallas Cowboys are still the most popular team among American football fans.
The Cowboys have been on top since the last time the poll was done in 2011, even though the team hasn’t been to the playoffs since 2009.
The Green Bay Packers climbed from No. 3 to No. 2, with the Denver Broncos going from a tie for No. 17 to No. 3.
The Indianapolis Colts dropped from No. 6 to No. 19.
Also dropping five or more spots were the Pittsburgh Steelers (No. 2 to No. 7), the Washington Redskins (No. 8 to No. 14), the New York Jets (tied for No. 9 to No. 15), the Atlanta Falcons (No. 15 to No. 20), the Carolina Panthers (No. 20 to No. 27), and the Tennessee Titans (No. 21 to No. 31).
Significant climbers included the San Francisco 49ers (No. 16 to No. 8), the Seattle Seahawks (No. 27 to No. 12), the Oakland Raiders (No. 25 to tied for No. 16), and the Cincinnati Bengals (No. 31 to No. 24).
Holding steady in last place at No. 32 were the Jacksonville Jaguars.
