Do we need these anymore?

You likely have one of these in your kitchen right now! Are you ready to give it up?

Sales of microwaves nationwide are down for the last decade while toaster oven sales are up 80 percent in that same time.

90 percent of American homes still have a microwave, however, we're using the less every day. but people are using them less and less.

Just eight years ago microwaves were America’s fourth most essential consumer product, just behind cars, washing machines, and air conditioning.

People are trying to eat healthier now more than ever, and microwaves fit less and less into the equation.

Toaster ovens have done well lately because they take up about the same amount of room as a microwave, but can do almost everything a large oven can do in a fraction of the time and using less energy.
