Sad but true!

A football fan in Pendleton, Indiana trademarked “Harbowl” last year-- but lawyers for the NFL pressured him to get rid of it.

Last year, the Baltimore Ravens under coach John Harbaugh and San Francisco 49ers under coach Jim Harbaugh were both one win away from meeting in the Super Bowl so the man trademarked “Harbowl.”  He planned putting the term on shirts and hats to make some extra money.

Lawyers for the NFL threatened the man with costly legal battles and pressured him to abandon his copyright.

And now, Baltimore and San Francisco play in the Super Bowl but the man won’t be making money off of it.
