What a great gift!
For 32 years a Pittsburgh man has been charging $5 for a shoe shine at his station inside a local Children’s hospital.
When he found that patrons were generous with their tips, he decided to start saving them to give back to the children in need at the hospital where he worked.
Now, decades later, he has donated over $200,000 to the children’s hospital - over a third of his lifetime salary.
His philanthropy was public, leaving some of his visitors to leave him rather large tips - one doctor even giving $50 at Christmas.
