Legendary rock acts ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd are set to team up for the Rebels & Bandoleros tour. The run begins in May and continues a touring relationship that began back in 1974 when the duo first toured on the Outlaw tour.

“We love the guys in ZZ Top, and their music, and can’t wait to get back out on the road with them,” Skynyrd frontman Johnny Van Zant said in a prepared statement. “This show is an event that the fans are going to love.”

Billy Gibbons shared much of the same excitement and anticipation for the upcoming tour.

“‘Rebels & Bandoleros’ is more of a coming together of friends than a mere tour,” Gibbons said in a statement. “We’re delighted to be hitting the road with our Skynyrd brethren once more. It’s going to be a great ride.”

The “Rebels & Bandoleros” tour kicks off In Wichita, Kansas May 12.
