The Big Mike Burger

Alright, let's face it. We all know that there's nothing better during halftime of a Packer Game, especially when they're ahead, than a juicy, grilled burger. But there are a few extra but simple steps you can take to insure the PERFECT burger. If you're going to go through the bother of putting a spread together for your game time guests then I say, let's do it right.

1st & formost, spend the few extra cents per pound for ground sirloin. I promise, you WILL notice the difference in taste. Next, saute some FRESH mushrooms and red onions in a little olive oil and garlic salt. Add some crisp bacon and remember, spend the extra money on good, fresh made buns. Add in the home made sauce from the recipe below and I'm telling you, you will never want to waste your time at the drive-thru again.

Butter Burger:

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground sirloin
  • 4 tablespoons butter, cut into small cubes
  • 4 ounces American cheese, cut into 6 portions

Special Sauce for the "Big Mike":

  • 2 tbls Apple Cider Vineger
  • 1/4 cup yellow mustard
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbls worcester
  • 1 tbls Brown Sugar
