
Last week it was Andy Griffith now, Erenest Borgnine, one of the last remaining legends of the Golden Age of Hollywood, passed away Sunday at age 95. He died from kidney failure.
Borgnine was a prolific television and film actor whose 200-plus credits include "From Here To Eternity", "The Poseidon Adventure", "The Dirty Dozen", "ER", "McHale’s Navy" and "Airwolf". He won an Oscar for Best Actor in 1955 for "Marty".
In recent years, Borgnine was the voice of Mermaid Man in 13 episode of "SpongeBob SquarePants".
Borgnine was married five times, and is survived by his four children.
