Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry has been diagnosed with prostate cancer and will undergo surgery in December.

Eddie says:  "I will be back in January ready to rock for all the fans. Please keep my family and [me] in your prayers."

Montgomery Gentry have been great friends to us here in Wisconsin always giving it everything they have in live shows from Country USA to Greenville Lions catfish races this summer...we wish you all the best Eddie!

Montgomery Gentry are in Canada peforming last night in Orillia, Ontario, and tonight in Windsor, Ontario. They return to Nashville for Charlie Daniels' annual Christmas 4 Kids concert at the Ryman Auditorium on Monday before completing their 2010 concert schedule with a Dec. 4 show in Charlotte, N.C.

They're scheduled to resume touring in February.
