Garth Brooks sold out NOT ONE, NOT TWO, but... NINE shows at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena when tickets became available Saturday.
Tickets initially went on sale for the one concert he had previously announced for Dec. 17. Two more shows were quickly added, followed by the others. With tickets priced at $25 (plus ticketing fees), more than 140,000 tickets were sold and that the concert series will raise more than $3.5 million. The series benefits the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, which is assisting residents impacted by the floods that hit the Nashville area in May.
The shows will also feature Brooks' wife Trisha Yearwood, and mark his first full concerts with his entire band in Nashville since 1998.
The Nashville shows will take place Dec. 16-17 and 19-22, with two shows scheduled each night on Dec. 16, 21 and 22.
