Hunting Down Hunger

The Green Bay Packers’ “Hunting Down Hunger” program has money available to donate and is inviting non-profit organizations with hunger relief programs that primarily serve Wisconsin residents to submit applications.

The application process is available online at www.packers.com/community/hunting_down_hunger.

Hats remain available for purchase online at www.packersproshop.com, as well as in person at the Packers Pro Shop. More than $100,000 has been raised thus far through the sale of orange caps.

Three styles of the hunter orange hats with the Packers’ ‘G’ are available: two baseball caps ($15), one orange and one with a camouflage pattern, and an orange cold-weather knit hat ($10). The hats also have the words “Hunting Down Hunger” on the left side. Each sale of the hat will result in a $5 donation going to charity.

The Packers previously raised more than $1.8 million for charity efforts through three similar campaigns: breast cancer (pink caps, 2005-06), heart disease (red caps, 2006-07) and support of service men and women and their families (dark gray, 2007-08).
