The Green Bay Gamblers have named Eric Rud their new head coach and general manager. Rud was an assistant coach at St. Cloud State. He has spent five seasons with the Huskies. A graduate of Colorado College, Rud served as an assistant coach at Colorado College during the 2004-05 season. He helped the Tigers win a share of the WCHA title. CC also went on to win its NCAA regional and gained a berth in the 2005 NCAA Frozen Four. Rud replaces Jon Cooper who spent two seasons with the Gamblers. During Cooper's tenure, the Gamblers won two Anderson Cups and a Clark Cup. Cooper was also named USHL General Manager of the Year for the 2008-2009 season. Cooper recently took the head coaching job with the AHL Norfolk Admirals.
