The 20th Century Fox cop comedy will be released on April 5, 2013.
The first look at Bridesmaids director Paul Feig's The Heat delivers what may be
expected from a buddy cop comedy: slapstick humor and odd couple jokes between
two high-profile stars.
The film stars Sandra Bullock as a FBI agent who's paired
with Melissa McCarthy, a rowdy Boston police department
officer, on a mission involving a "ruthless drug lord," according to the movie's
description.
It might not be difficult to guess where the film goes from there --
exploding cars, chasing down bad guys and the unfortunate accidental dropping of
a suspect from a building onto the roof of a car.
The movie also features Tony Hale (Veep),
Taran Killam (Saturday Night Live) and Kaitlin
Olson (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia). The
Heat is scheduled to hit theaters on April 5, 2013.
