~~ A website is devoted totally to getting a hug from Taylor Swift.
A trio of 22-year-old Auburn University students came up with a random idea to film a documentary and series of webisodes... to get a hug from Taylor. The boys' site, www.ahugfromtaylorswift.com, features their blogs, videos and stats.
One fella said he heard Taylor's 'Teardrops on My Guitar' a few years ago and has been a fan ever sense. He says, "Despite all the fame and celebrity that has followed her, she has somehow remained truly grounded, and that is something that is admirable in any celebrity. And she seems like such a cool person to hang out with."
The guys decided a hug was the most they should ask for, and what sealed the deal was a quote from Taylor, which said "I've always been a hugger ... if we all hugged more, the world would be a better place."
Taylor took a peek at the website recently and posted her own video in response. She started a game with them-- she will issue them various challenges along the way.
For the first challenge, she wants them to do a simple good deed, film it and post it to their site. That deed: "helping a little old lady across the street." The boys have accepted the challenge so they can realize their end goal: to get a hug from Taylor Swift.
