Katherine Heigl has finally confirmed she's leaving “Grey's Anatomy.”
In an interview with “Entertainment Weekly” the actress says she is leaving the ABC medical drama after six seasons. She adds “It's sad but it's what I wanted."
She says she wants more time to focus on her 16-month-old daughter Naleigh, whom she adopted from South Korea with husband Josh Kelley last September.
And a source says that Heigl also wants to focus on her film career.
(BTW: She was scheduled to appear in this season's final five episodes, but that's no longer happening. The Jan. 21 episode was her last as Izzie.)
Heigl said: "I know I'm disappointing the fans. I just had to make a choice. I hope I made the right one."
