Can an owl really haul off a small dog?

A 4-pound chihuahua survived an attack from a great horned owl while on a walk with his owner, in Illinois.

The owl started to fly away with the dog when the owner lunged at the owl, scarring it away.

Turns out, the dog's winter puffy vest saved his life.
