A Texas man was dumped by his fiancé. So he sold everything, bought a Lamborghini Gallardo and set out to drive across America.

It took months to sell all of his possessions. He used most of life savings as a deposit on a $180,000 Lamborghini Gallardo. (The car does zero to 60 in just 4 seconds and tops out at 195 mph.)

Then, he started driving.

For more than a year he wandered from place to place, living in motels and making new friends. He crossed the country three times. He visited ghost towns and big cities. He retraced childhood trips.

As soon as he'd settle down, he'd get the itch to move, so he'd pack up and drive somewhere else.

During his journey, he racked up 53 speeding tickets.

By the end of his trip, he had put 91,807 miles on the car.

After all that time on the road, the engine broke down and killed the car. It's worth less than he owes on it, and the bank won't give him another loan.

For now, he's setting up a shop in Dallas and plans to build custom motorcycles. He also plans to repair or replace the Gallardo's engine when he can afford it. Right now, it sits in his shop.

He's also met a new girl, but he's taking things one step at a time.
