Most Super Bowl Watchers Are Homebodies

- Asked why they prefer to watch   the Super Bowl at home, 66% said because it's a more comfortable atmosphere;   58% said because it's easier to find a comfortable chair; 48% said because there   aren't crowds blocking the TV; and 46% said because the bathroom is cleaner

- 46% of men say the Super Bowl is   one of the best reasons to host get-togethers, right behind birthdays and traditional   holidays; only 39% of females agree

- 63% of women say good company is   the most important elements of a good Super Bowl party, compared to 57% of men

- Almost three-quarters of the people   surveyed say good food and drink are critical to the success of a Super Bowl   party

- 23% of people between the ages   of 18 and 34 admit to having called in sick to work the day after the Super   Bowl; 14% of these people are men, 9% are women

- 76% of Americans say they like   to watch the game in their pajamas or comfortable clothes

- 22% cite snack foods like chips   and dip as their favorite Super Bowl food, while only 2% prefer sweets

- 52% say the size and quality of   the TV is "critical" to a successful Super Bowl party

- 36% say they'll use other media   devices - like computers, SmartPhones and tablets - to supplement their TV-viewing   experience

- 52% of U.S. adults say they log   on to social media sites during the game; 32% of them use social media to discuss   the commercials; 6% say they discuss the cheerleaders
