Dear Abby,

I'm 24 years old and physically attracted to my best friend's boyfriend. My   best friend, who's been there for me for over 10 years, means the world to me.   I don't want to betray her trust, but my feelings are strong and eating at me.   Her man has 'the hots' for me also. If you were in my shoes, what would YOU   do? I am so confused. How do I address my feelings and the situation?

Here's the deal...there is a code between friends and significant others that just can't be broken no matter what. You never date your friends' ex's. It makes things so awkward that it gets to the point where the friendship falls apart. If he likes you too, he needs to break up with his girlfriend and then leave the picture....its the respectful thing to do. I know it hurts and sounds unfair...but if my best friend dated one of my ex's...I don't know if I'd be able to forgive her or him.
