It's the time of year when we're supposed to pause and think about everything we're thankful for. Well . . . maybe you shouldn't.
According to a new study, complaining about how things are going can actually make you HAPPIER . . . because when you complain, it puts you in the mindset to CHANGE things.
When you're just thankful and DON'T complain, you get used to the status quo . . . even though, odds are, there IS something you'd like to change.
I get what they're saying, but at the same time, I feel like it would bring the mood of the dinner conversation DOWN. I'm all about trying to better ourselves, but really? I feel like this could backfire. Maybe say what you're thankful for in front of family and friends, but then think to yourself what you'd like to change in your life. :)
