I have no idea why this works . . . and it might not . . . but it doesn't cost you anything to try. According to a new study, you're more likely to get a raise or a promotion if you ask for it while you're STANDING UP STRAIGHT.
Researchers found that for whatever reason, when you sit or when you lean . . . especially to the left . . . people perceive you as having lower worth. So you demonstrate your value the best when you're standing and not leaning.
