I have been seeing this guy for almost a year now, but nothing is official. We hang out and go out on dates, but he hasn't met my family, I haven't met his, and we never spent a holiday together. We are not official by any means, but after a year of this you would think that he would want to make this official! What do you think?

I don't want to bring you down, but I feel like this guy might be taking advantage of you. If it's been almost a year of dates but there has been no effort to meet the families, I feel like he either might be afraid of committing or he is in no hurry. He is comfortable with having someone without having to commit whole-heartedly. Give him an ultimatum. Either he puts an effort in of trying to making a relationship out of this or you're done being his fall back girl. Don't get stepped on, but don't be too pushy so that you scare him away. Discuss it with him and make sure you are satisfied with the final result.
