I've been engaged for 2 years now, we have a date set, and this wedding is going to happen.  I took off my engagement ring the other day to take a shower....this isn't anything new, I always do because I'm afraid it will go down the drain. However, this time I forgot to put it back on. My fiancee saw my naked finger and almost had a heart attack. He said the ring should NEVER come off NO MATTER what! What do you think?

I know plenty of married and engaged people who go both ways on this subject. For example, my mom NEVER took off her ring unless she was painting a room or piece of furniture. It was sweet, but at the same time, she had to take her ring in on multiple occasions because diamonds came loose or went down the drain of the shower. I understand why you took yours off, it's not like you weren't planning on putting it back on! I'm sure your fiancee just freaked a little because its been 2 years since he's seen that finger bare. Do what makes you feel comfortable, but make sure you reassure your man that there is no "hidden" meaning behind it, you just wanted to protect the ring he spent a fortune on! :)
