I recently was introduced to a guy through some friends, and it looks like we're going to be in a romantic "official" relationship soon. We only met 2 weeks ago, but we can't stop talking to each other, we've already been on 3 dates, and we already had our 1st kiss. What I'm trying to get at is that we pretty much skipped the "friendship" stage of our relationship. We went from meeting each other to being interested in each other, is this a totally bad idea? Am I just going to end up hurting myself in the end?
Moving Fast in Brillion
Dear Moving Fast,
No worries my dear! Everyone is different and everyone's plans and personalities are different. Some people feel it is necessary to become friends before trying out a relationship, but once agian, everyone is different. I just have 3 things that I feel everyone should try to avoid in their relationships, they are the 3 C's. Don't criticize, compare, or control. Treat him the way you want to be treated, don't push him to do anything you wouldn't want to do, and don't bring up past flames. Enjoy your new relationship, don't let the fact that it isn't necessarily a "traditional" relationship ruin anything.
