No, I don't think that is how relationships are supposed to be. There is a difference between making plans or letting your significant other know about what you're doing and letting your significant other run your life. If you make plans, yes, I think you should tell her so she's aware, but you shouldn't have to get them approved by her. Talk to her about her controlling issues, but don't be defensive. Be mature and let her know how you feel. I don't know a lot of girls who like to be thought of as "controlling". :)
