My boyfriend forgot his cell at my place a couple weeks ago, and the text message alert was going off all night! I had no choice but to check. Turns out he was getting drunk texts from his ex. I confronted him and he said nothing is going on, but now every time the text alert goes off and he isn't around his phone, I check it. It's never anyone or anything bad, but I'm feeling guilty. Do I have the right to do this?

NO! Stop looking at his phone. Would you want him doing that to you? You asked him about a situation and he gave you an answer. You need to trust him more. It can be hard, especially when a case of the ex pops up, but that's part of being in a relationship. Leave his phone alone. If you think you have reason to question or worry, then just ask him. Don't snoop around!
