Dear Abby, I have been casually dating this guy for a couple months. Nothing too serious has happened between us except for dates and flirting, but I'm thinking I'm ready to take this thing to the next level and become an official couple, any warning signs I should look for before I jump into something serious?

New relationships are very exciting, and I'm very happy for you! You obviously know this guy better than me, and I'm sure you know if he's worth keeping or not, but in general, there are a couple things you should look for to know that this guy is worth keeping around. When you guys are having a conversation, is he really listening to you? Can he connect with you and what you're feeling? Does he add something new and refreshing to your life that wasn't there before him? Can you trust him? Is he being real or is he fake? Does he want to change something about you? These are all good things to keep in the back of your head when considering a relationship. I'm guessing you know what you're doing and if you feel comfortable with him, I see no problem making your relationship official.
