Green Bay Metro to Offer Free New Year's Eve Safe Rides

New Year's Eve is a time for celebration, and if you have plans to include alcohol in that celebration, you have options for a safe ride home.

Green Bay Metro and Triangle Distributing are teaming with Miller Lite to offer free service on all 13 Green Bay Metro bus routes from 3 p.m. New Year's Eve until 3 a.m. Wednesday.

For information on routes, schedules and taxi services, call 1-800-FREE-RIDES (1-800-373-3743), text "FREE RIDES" to 90464, or log on to www.MillerLiteFreeRides.com.

This is the second year for the Miller Lite Free Rides in Green Bay on New Year's Eve.  It will also run in Milwaukee, Madison, the Twin Cities and Chicago.

If you don't live in Green Bay, police and transportation officials say the best way to stay safe is to designate a sober driver before the celebration begins.  You can also contact your county to see if they take part in the SafeRide program.
