Milk That Chicken!

I know, that headline is a sneaky attention getter but seriously, cook your next chicken in milk. I didn't believe it could be amazing it until I tried it last weekend. So simple!

1 whole chicken washed & patted dry

5 to 10 whole garlic cloves

2 cups whole or 2% milk

Dash of lemon or lemon zest

2 tbs butter

Salt & pepper

Heat oven to 375.

In a large dutch oven, add butter & brown chicken on all sides. Add milk & sprinkle garlic, lemon, salt & pepper on top. Cover and cook one hour then uncover and cook for another 30-40 minutes. Let set for 10 minutes before serving. You won't believe how good the sauce turns out! Tastes great on baked potatoes, broccoli & cauliflower.
