Is this any surprise that they are #1?

    The Gosselins
From Jon & Kate Plus 8 to magazine covers. Apparently she was shagging the body guard, and he was shagging an elementary-school teacher. Over the months, the Gosselins became inescapable.

    Also in the running....

    David Letterman
Davee went on the air with a story about attempted extortion and a grand-jury appearance. Then he admitted: "I have had sex with women who work for me on this show."

    Kanye West
Interrupted that nice Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards and declared that Beyoncé should have won Swift's award. Went on Jay Leno's Show and apologized.

    Carrie Prejean
Evangelical Christian, anti-gay-marriage, sex-tape and topless-photo star... oh, and she almost won the Miss America pageant.

  • Friends fear for Loretta Lynn's health

    Posted by Charli McKenzie

Country legend LORETTA LYNN has left fans and friends fearing for her health after uncharacteristically cancelling a string of shows.

The singer/songwriter, 74, rarely cancels concerts and so when she axed gigs in America last week (ends11Dec09), reports about her health started circulating.

And now sources tell U.S. tabloid the Globe that Lynn is fighting for her life after falling ill with a bad case of influenza.

One insider tells the publication, "Loretta has a long-term serious respiratory problem which only gets worse with age... She has to take a break during her shows to use her inhaler so she can carry on.

"Loretta's stubborn. She wanted to play the dates, but her doctors told her point-blank she needed to rest for weeks... Doctors have told Loretta for the last year or more she can't continue touring.

"But Loretta insists, 'You tell me I can't sing anymore, you might as well dig the hole and throw dirt on me.'"

Lynn still has big plans for 2010 - Johnny Cash's son John Carter Cash will produce Lynn's upcoming greatest hits album

  • Who was the decades highest grossing actor?

    Posted by Charli McKenzie

Who Are The Decade's Highest Grossing Actors?

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the highest grossing actress of the of the last decade is Emma Watson. All six of her live-action films this decade just happen to be the six Harry Potter films, which have conjured $5.4 billion worldwide, or roughly $900 million per film. (Guinness actually only measured the first five Potter films, but PopWatch is a full service pop-culture blog. You’re welcome.)

But if you want to know who Guinness believes is Ms. Watson’s male counterpart as the decade’s highest moneymaker, you’re out of luck. For some reason, the famed record keeping crew simply proclaims Samuel L. Jackson as the world’s Highest Grossing Actor, full stop, no time-frame included.

Even if this is true for all time, the idea that Jackson was tops for the last ten years seemed…doubtful to me, so I crunched the numbers, courtesy Box Office Mojo. (We’re full service, I tells ya!) Indeed, thanks in part to the fact that he’s starred in practically every other movie released in the last ten years (okay, more like two dozen films, but that’s still more than two flicks a year), Mr. L. Jackson’s movies (excluding voice-over work) have raked in a most impressive $3.3 billion in global box-office. But that does not make him the decade’s highest grosser — not even close. Johnny Depp — a.k.a. Capt. Jack Sparrow, a.k.a. Willy Wonka, a.k.a. Sweeney Todd, a.k.a. EW’s Best of the Decade cover boy — has pulled in $4.2 billion in box-office doubloons this decade, but he isn’t tops either. Neither is Sir Ian McKellan, even though his work helped The Lord of the Rings trilogy, the X-Men trilogy, and The Da Vinci Code rake in an astronomic $4.8 billion worldwide.

Nope, best I can figure, the highest grossing male actor is…drumroll please…Alan Rickman. Factor in his roles in, among other films, Love Actually and Sweeney Todd, and the cinema’s Severus Snape edges past Harry Potter co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint with a grand total of $5.9 billion in global box office. Of course, by this logic, Harry Potter’s Dame Maggie Smith is the decade’s box office queen, due to the $88 million and $74 million global gross of Gosford Park and The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, respectively. But who’s counting?

So there you have it: A completely silly assessment of box office power based essentially on how lucky an actor is to find him or herself with a recurring role in a highly lucrative live-action franchise. Are you surprised by the outcome? Do you think I’ve missed actors whose films have somehow made more money this decade than Ms. Watson, Ms. Smith, and Mr. Rickman? And does this mean anything at all beyond the obvious fact that to really succeed in Hollywood, you need to be British and have a knack for magic?

Some of these were hard for me to believe...this is taken from Entertainment Weekly magazine

  • Did Toby honestly do anything offensive?

    Posted by Charli McKenzie

Will Smith, Wyclef Jean, Natasha Bedingfield and Toby Keith performed a classic rap song at an after party for the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Norway last week!!
Apparently, there's a moment where Toby Keith made a gesture deemed offensive to Asians.

During "Rapper's Delight," Toby slants his eyes when Will Smith raps the line "to the black, to the white, the red, and the brown, the purple and yellow."

    About 1:25 into the footage.

I can see how people would be offended, but I don't think he meant to be rude to any race...he should be more embarrassed at how out of place he looks, hee hee.

  • Hershey Bar Almond Pie

    Posted by Charli McKenzie

If you know me, you know I don't really cook all that great. My mother gave me a recipe for a pie I've been taking to my holiday Christmas parties and it's been a hit! You don't even have to bake it....Try it and Love it!!!

6 Regular Hershey Bars w. Almonds

    1/2 cup of Milk

    18 large Marshmallows

1/2 pint of whipping cream-NOT COOLWHIP-real whipping cream

Graham Cracker crust (you can get a pre-made crust or just buy one:)

    Cool Whip for topping!!

Melt the Hershey bars, milk and marshmallows in a mediam-sized sauce pan on low heat. Once mixture is melted, let cool for about 2-3 minutes.

Take the whipping cream and whip really good for about 2 minutes, then fold it into the Hershey Mixture. Once it's all mixed together put in the ready made crust.

Refridgerate til firm. I refridgerated my pie for about 15 hours! Put on cool whip and enjoy.
This is a good thing to make for parties the night before!

  • Tiger gone from GOLF?? WHAT!?!?!

    Posted by Charli McKenzie

Here is Mr. Woods latest blog from his website. Apparently he needs to focus on family....Ya think?

This is a transcript of the statement released Friday by golfer Tiger Woods on his Web site. It ran with the headline “Tiger Woods taking hiatus from golf.”

I am deeply aware of the disappointment and hurt that my infidelity has caused to so many people, most of all my wife and children. I want to say again to everyone that I am profoundly sorry and that I ask forgiveness. It may not be possible to repair the damage I’ve done, but I want to do my best to try.

I would like to ask everyone, including my fans, the good people at my foundation, business partners, the PGA Tour, and my fellow competitors, for their understanding. What’s most important now is that my family has the time, privacy, and safe haven we will need for personal healing.

After much soul searching, I have decided to take an indefinite break from professional golf. I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father, and person.

Again, I ask for privacy for my family and I am especially grateful for all those who have offered compassion and concern during this difficult period.

  • Are you a Smoker??

    Posted by Charli McKenzie

I have been trying to become a NON-SMOKER for almost a month. I've done pretty darn good w. a few sneaks here and there (about 5 cigarettes to be exact).

The biggest thing people tell me is to quit smoking "Cause I'll die". You'd think that would do it, but nope!
Researchers have found that the best way to get a smoker to quit is by being more effective by telling people to quit w. warnings unrealted to death..such as:

That is my biggest fear is that my teeth will look horribly yellow and my skin rough. I already have crows feet around my lips from sucking on a cigarette all these years!

You can do it!! I have faith in you. If you want help, Affinity is what works for me..Check out there Call it Quits program

    It's FREE:)

This is my biggest reason, what's yours?
