Extreme Home Makeoveer is looking to help a family in Northeast WI.

Are you ready to yell "Bus driver, move that BUS!!!"?

ABC's popular reality TV series, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, is looking for a family in Northeast Wisconsin whose story is inspirational and whose home is in desperate need of an Extreme Makeover.

Nominations may be submitted by the family or by a member of their community.

Email castingwisconsin@gmail.com with a short description of their family story, house story, names, ages of everyone in the house and, if possible, recent photos of family and house. Describe why the family is deserving, heroic, or a great role model in their community. Also describe the major challenges within the home.

You can also fill out an application on the ABC web site.

All nominations must include a contact phone number.

The deadline for applying is February 28.

Casting Supervisor Rebecca Shumsky says,  "We're looking for those special people who have amazing strength of character and never give up. Whether it's keeping their chin up in really tough circumstances or going out of their way to help others. We want to help people whose stories have really affected their community or made a big difference in other people's lives."

The Extreme Makeover: Home Edition producers are looking for families whose homes desperately need to be rebuilt. "We really want to help families whose homes present major problems for the family, those big issues that affect the family's quality of life on a daily basis. We want to find deserving people who just don't have the resources, ability, or time to fix those serious issues without our help."

To be eligible, a family must own their own single family home and be able to show producers how a makeover will make a huge difference in their lives.

For more information on how to apply, visit the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition web site.

We returned from Mexico Saturday and overall, it was a great trip. We took along some terrific Y100 listeners. Downtown Old Puerto Varrarta is really neat with it's cobblestone streets and beautiful beachfront boardwalk. Next time I am going to rent a jeep and travel up the coastline.

I am glad to be back in the studio this week. Do not forget, we will be doing our St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital Rdiothon live from Bay Park Square Thursday and Friday 6 am to 6 pm both days. Please help Y100 help kids get well.

  • I'm glad I am working 1/26/10

Do you ever have days hwere you are glad you are working? By that I mean things are stressful at home and being at work is a relief? That is my life as of late.

My dear Mother In Law Helen, who was living with us is very sick and not expected to make it through this week. Helen is a friend of mine and through the years has offered support to Bridget and I and when money was scarce early in my career....she helped us out. She helped us with the downpayement on our first house many years ago in Eau Claire na when our furnace wnet, she bought us a new one.

The past few year have been tough for Helen with the dreaded Alzheimers, but she even did that with claass and was never a burdon on Bridget and I. She demanded a whisky sour every night with a smoke and she laughed at my stupid jokes.

It hurts me to see this once gracious woman dying...I pray God lets her wing it home soon.

I had a once in a lifetime event the past few days...and it was not pleasent.

My Mother In Law almost died. She was taken by ambulance to Aurora Bay Care Hosptal Wednesday night with severe Pnemonia. Thursday morning she was almost dead. I left the Hospital att noon Thurday thinking I would not see her again. I went to see her Friday morning and she was sitting up eating breakfast!

She goes back to her nursing home today. The hospice nurse at Aurora Bay Care said "It was two outs in the bottom of the ninth" for my Mother In Law, but somehow she pulled out of deaths icy grip. The song "One More Day" takes on a whole new meaning to Bridget and I.

We had a great weekend. It was Bridget's birthday. My Son and family joined, Bridget, my daughter Ruth and myself for a neat dinner at a great restuarant. I got Bridget a bunch of Wii accesories for her birthday and she was thrilled!

Footbal was fun to watch. As much as I hate to say it, the Vikings were the best team I saw all weekend in Brett was the best QB. The Jets shocked us too!

I mentioned this on the air yesterday and I recieved dozens of emails wanting the info. Now remember...this is only something fun.

If you're looking for prosperity in 2010, follow these simple instructions. Many vouch it works...so try it for yourself! 1)  Within 24 hours before a New Moon (January 15th, 2010), take a check from your check book.  Where it says "Pay To", write your full legal name. 2)  In the little box on the same line where you would fill in a dollar amount write "Paid in full" 3)  On the line underneath your name, where you would write out a dollar amount, write "Paid in full" 4)  Sign the check:  "The Law of Abundance" DO NOT PUT A DATE ON THE CHECK.  DO NOT WRITE A SPECIFIC DOLLAR AMOUNT ON THE CHECK.  Put it in a safe place and forget about it.  The Universe will take it from there!

We have often heard rumors of Simon leaving Idol...well now he is. It's not about the money. He will be paid $36 million this season. It's about creative movement and you cannot argue with that.

Simon has done Idol for many seasons and wants to try his new show XFactor in America. I admire that..leaving the highest rated show on TV to try an unknown. Good for him.

I had a bad feeling about yesterdays wierd loss to the Cardinals. It was worse than I thought. We gave the ball away on our first two possessions and we lost. I know...we could of won it if only we had......but the bottom line is that we lost.

Actually, I thought this team made it further than I thought they would. Next year look promising and I think the draft should be interesting too.

Thanks for the roller coaster ride Packeers...it was fun!!

I admit that I am "Computer Challenged" and there are many things I cannot do on my computer. Things are getting better and here is why: The other day I wanted to help my wife set up her new wii system. I took one look at the complicated set up manual and just googled "how to set up wii" and I got all the instructions and they were easy to follow. We had the system up and running in a matter of minutes.

The website that I found to be helpful was eHow.com...they have all kinds of stuff there for us who have tough times trying to program anything. When I wanted to change my facebook picture, I wnt to eHow.com and got simple instructions.

Some of us are not good witrh how-to books, so I hope eHow.com helps you too.
